Man tenker kanskje at algoritmene er noe fremmed som kontrollerer tankene våre, noe som kommer utenfra og er i ferd med å kolonisere vår virkelighet. Hva slags trussel utgjør de om vi slipper dem løs i teatret? Sitter vi bare igjen med et kunstig teater, eller vil de avsløre teateret som noe uekte – noe som kun ligner på teater?
Logos Pneuma er Eirik Blekesaunes første verk, under eget navn, der han arbeider med scenetekst og teater som kunstige former. Hans kunstneriske praksis bygger på utvikling og eksperimentering med digital teknologi, koding og algoritmer. Arbeidet med Logos Pneuma kombinerer algoritmisk tenkning og etikk og moral med teaterets iboende potensiale.
BIOGRAFI
Eirik Blekesaune jobber tverrkunstnerisk innen flere uttrykk som scenekunst, lydkunst, elektromekanisk installasjon. Et sentralt fokus for hans arbeid er de overlappende feltene mellom kunstnerisk og teknologisk utvikling, med særlig vekt på dataprogrammeringstradisjonen opp mot estetisk og humanistisk tenkning.
Han har bakgrunn fra kunstergruppen Verdensteatret hvor han var en del av den kunstneriske ledelsen av kompaniet, og var med å skape og framføre produksjonene: “And All The Questionmarks Started to Sing”(2010), “Broen over Gjørme” (2014), og “HANNAH” (2018).
Han er opptatt av hvordan samarbeid på tvers av kunstneriske disipliner foregår og hvordan språket vi bruker, og utvikler, sammen fungerer som et verktøy som former og formes av den kunstneriske prosessen. Hva vi kaller tingene—og forbindelsene mellom de—avgjør hvordan vi tenker sammen og setter retningene den kunstneriske prosessen beveger seg i.

You may think the algorithms are something foreign and strange that controls our thoughts, something that comes from the outside and is about to colonize our reality. What kind of threat do they pose if we let them out in the theatre? Are we left with an artificial theatre, or will they reveal theatre as something not-real– something only resembling theatre.
The work Logos Pneuma combines algorithmic thinking with ethics and morale, with the theatre inherent potential. This is Eirik Blekesaune’s first theatre piece under his own name, where he works with theatre and texts as artificial forms. His artistic practice is based on experimentation with digital technology, coding, and algorithms.
Biography:
Eirik Blekesaune work within theatre, sound, and installation art. A central focus for his work are the overlapping fields between artistic and technological development, with an emphasis on the computer programming tradition in light of aesthetic and humanistic thought.
He has been a part of the artistic leadership of the artist collective Verdensteatret and was a part of making and performing the productions: “And All The Questionmarks Started to Sing”(2010), “Broen over Gjørme” (2014), og “HANNAH” (2018).
In his work he is concerned with how collaborations across various artistic disciplines take place and how the language we use, and develop, together acts as a tool that shapes and is shaped by the artistic process. What we call things–and the connections between them–affects how we think together and sets the course for the directions the artistic process moves.
