Maria W. Horn
Maria W. Horn er en komponist fra Nord Sverige, men har hatt base i Stockholm siden 2011. Maria W. Horn er interessert i manipulasjon av tid og rom gjennom soniske ekstremer hvor hun beveger seg mellom minimalistiske strukturer og gjennomborende kraftelektronikk, ved å utnytte både digital og analog syntese, så vell som akustiske instrumenter og audiovisuelle komponenter.
Arbeidet hennes undersøker aspekter av menneskelig oppfatning – hvordan psykoakustiske fenomener, audiovisualitet og overbelastning/ tap av sansemessig stimuli kan konspirere for å overgå hverdagen og kalle på alternative mentale tilstander.
Maria er en del av Sthlm Drone Society – en assosiasjon som jobber med å promotere sakte og gradvis utviklende timbral musikk, og er meddriver av merket XKatedal.
Formelle studier inkluderer elektroakustiske komposisjoner på Royal College of Music i Stockholm og Universität der Kunsten i Berlin. Maria har stått på scenen gjennom store deler av Europa og Amerika, og et par nevneverdige forestillinger er bl.a. ved MUTEK Mexico City, Insomnia Festival Tromsø, Stanford Live, CTM Festival Berlin, Madeira Digital, LOST Festival Parma, MUTEK Montreal.
Maria w Horn is a composer hailing from the north of Sweden, based in Stockholm since 2011. Maria w Horn is interested in the manipulation of time and space through sonic extremes – oscillating between minimalist structures and piercing power electronics utilizing both digital and analog synthesis as well as acoustic instruments and audiovisual components.
Her work examines aspects of human perception – how psychoacoustic phenomena, audiovisuality and overload/loss of perceptual stimuli can conspire to transcend everyday life and invoke alternate mental states. She is a part of Sthlm Drone Society – an association working to promote slow and gradually evolving timbral music, and co-operates the label XKatedral.
Formal studies include electroacoustic composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and Universität der Kunste in Berlin. Maria has performed throughout Europe and America, a few notable performances include MUTEK Mexico City, Insomnia Festival Tromsø, Stanford Live, CTM Festival Berlin, Madeira Digital, LOST Festival Parma, MUTEK Montreal. Comissions include an audiovisual piece for the Swedish Radio, Epistasis for String Quartet and Electronics premiered at Konserthuset Stockholm, a sound and light environment for the Swedish Museum of Performing arts. Horn composed music for the greek tragedy Fedra/Hippolytos performed at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, music for a frequency controllable Tesla Coil with Stina Nyberg in Alternating Currents and Thunderstuck.

Mats Erlandsson
Som komponist, musiker og lydkunstner er Mats Erlandsson en del av det levende, gjenoppstående drone-musikk miljøet i Stockholm, Sverige, og er assosiert med praksiser karakterisert av den omfattende bruken av vedvarende lyd.
Erlandsson presenterer arbeidet sitt både som soloartist og i samarbeid med andre, spesielt nevneverdig sammen med Yair Elazar Glotman.
Nylige utgivelser består av bl.a. Hypodermic Letters på Portals Edition (2018), 4-track guitar music på XKatedral (2018), Selective Miracles and Valentina Tereshkova på Posh Isolation (2016), og sammen med Glotman, Negative Chambers på Miasmah (2017) og Emanante på 130701 (2020).
Erlandsson har fremført egne verk over store deler av verden, mest nylig på Présences Électronique arrangert av GRM i Paris, CTM 2019 og The Long Now i Berlin, Norbergfestival i Norberg, Sonica Festival i Ljubljana og ved forskjellige musikk- og kunstner lokaler rundt i verden.
As a composer, musician and sound artist, Mats Erlandsson is part of the vibrantly reemerging field of drone music in Stockholm, Sweden, and is associated with practices characterized by the extensive use of sustained sound.
Erlandsson presents his work both as a solo artist and in collaborations, most notably together with Yair Elazar Glotman.
